Hi  there  welcome to my Colombia Kitchen blog

My name Maria del Carmen -or Carla-, as some of my friends call me, I was born in Palmira Valle   “The heart of the sugar cane ”located in the Southwest of Colombia . I am very  proudly of been Palmireña.  

Though born in Colombia I spent most of my life in London.

“I grew up in a family that loves food. We ate everything, from turtle to rabbit and from carrot to custard apple. I can still see my father catching and plucking the chicken, cleaning the fish and I learned how to do it.

I am a professional chef, Cooking is not only my profession it has been part of my life since my childhood.
